A LITTLE WILD LINING CAN HAVE A BIG PAYOFF… as we often say at #Voicetrax SF, “wild lining” – auditioning your half of a dialogue by yourself, with no partner to feed from and react to – has become an absolutely necessary skill for auditioning at home. But even in this day of remote sessions, there can still be nice little reward! Take ‘Traxer BRIDGET-MAGUIRE-COLTON, who was obviously effective enough in her solo auditioning to book a radio dialogue for Gold Peak Iced Tea!
“The session was recorded at my home studio with the client, director and engineer connected via Source Connect and I was lucky enough to get to work remotely with an adorable young girl as my scene partner. It’s not often we get to work a session with other actors, so I took full advantage of this. They encouraged us both to improv a little and gave alternate lines during the session with such speed that there was no time to write anything down, so my training at Voicetrax in being able to “F* on a Dime”, as Sam likes to say, was key!”
Funny how all those little Voicetrax lessons keep applying in real-life situations, eh? CONGRATULATIONS, Bridget! You bet we’ll be keeping an ear out for the spot. 😊
