Audiences are consuming content in many different ways, and with the now very common and plentiful streaming platforms, there are more animation opportunities than ever before. So you better get going on fine-tuning your character auditioning skills. Voice producer and director Ned Lott takes you through a series of audition challenges to teach you how to stand out in the casting process. While the cartoony characters definitely still exist and are asked for, the demand for characters with a real sound is increasing, and in this fun and wacky workshop you’ll get to perform both. Participate in a “real-world” audition exercise, as a casting notice will be sent to you where you’ll “audition” and submit your recordings before class, just as if you were signed to an agency. You’ll get an inside look on what casting professionals listen for, as Ned plays back and critiques your auditions.
