Some voice actors are just destined to overachieve, you know? Take TIM FRIEDLANDER, for example. Scoring titles on such Anime/Manga features as Hunter x Hunter, One Punch Man, and Ace Combat 7, plus work on the Netflix series Record of Ragnarok and on video game titles such as Like A Dragon, you might think that’s at least a decent start to a bed of laurels to rest on… but NO! Why not found the Soundbox: Studio Group for safe, inspiring and professional environments for ADR, dubbing, podcasts, Faceware facial capture and such (now up to three LA locations and one in Boston)! Well certainly that’s enough to take some satisfaction in a life well-lived, right? Not quite – because you see, in all this, Tim hasn’t yet had the scratch to satisfy his life-long itch for ADVOCACY, for championing the rights of his fellow artists around the globe. Enter the National Association of Voice Actors (NAVA), for which he is president and co-founder! Tim’s work in advocacy has taken him to Capitol Hill for over 100 meetings with lawmakers, fighting for the rights of all Americans to own their voice image, name and likeness in the federal level. Who knows what’s next for Tim, but we’re sure happy to have him here as a Guest Director as he navigates his next adventure!
