Heather’s one of many students who have to slalom through life’s obligations to build her voice acting career, and did that blunt her determination any? Not one bit! After one booking without an agent, she had to take a hiatus… and what was waiting for her right on the other side of that break? Another booking!
“A couple of weeks ago I booked a VO for a local tv ad that will run in Maine for the Maine Housing Assistance Fund. My first tv ad! And I had just gotten back on the VO horse after taking a 6 month break from auditioning due to life and a new job vying for my time. So that felt good.
Just before I stopped auditioning 6 months ago I booked a VO for Biocidin Botanicals, a natural healthcare product company. My VO is for their Dentalcidin Oral Care System explainer video that lives on their website.
Both of these jobs were through Voice123. I owe A LOT to Vicki’s ‘Booking Gigs123’ class I took last year which has helped to navigate this platform successfully.
